Warranty Policy
Zyrix warranty coverage protects against defects in materials and workmanship, with coverage periods stated on every invoice and matched to the unit's condition.
This page defines what is covered, what is excluded, how to open a claim, and what turnaround to expect from our in-house repair facility.
Coverage by product and condition
New units carry the manufacturer's standard warranty, administered by Zyrix so you deal with one contact rather than chasing a factory abroad. Used and refurbished units carry a shorter Zyrix-backed period, always stated in writing before payment. Infrastructure such as hydro radiators, immersion tanks, and gas generators is covered on the component terms below.
| Item | Condition | Coverage period | Covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| ASIC miner | New | 180-365 days from delivery | Hashboards, control board, PSU, fans |
| ASIC miner | Used / refurbished | 30-90 days from delivery | Hashboards and control board |
| Hydro cooling equipment | New | 12 months | Pumps, radiators, manifolds, leaks |
| Immersion equipment | New | 12 months | Tanks, pumps, heat exchangers |
| Gas power generation | New | 12 months or rated hours | Genset defects, excluding consumables |
What the warranty covers
Coverage applies to failures that arise from a manufacturing defect under normal operating conditions: dead or degraded hashboards, control-board failure, power-supply failure, and failed fans or pumps. Remedies are repair, replacement of the failed component, or replacement of the unit, chosen by Zyrix based on the fastest route back to full hashrate.
- Hashboard chip failure and persistent low-hashrate faults
- Control-board and network-port failure
- PSU failure not caused by external power quality
- Fan, pump, and cooling-component failure within the coverage period
What voids or excludes coverage
Mining hardware is sensitive to site conditions, so coverage excludes damage caused by the environment or by modification rather than by manufacture. Reviewing these before commissioning avoids the most common rejected claims.
- Water ingress, condensation, dust, or corrosive-atmosphere damage on air-cooled units
- Damage from unstable grid power, missing surge protection, or incorrect voltage
- Third-party or modified firmware, overclocking beyond factory profiles, and removed heatsinks
- Physical damage, removed or illegible serial labels, and unauthorised board-level repair
- Consumables and wear items: filters, dielectric fluid, gaskets, oil, and spark plugs
How to open a warranty claim
Claims run through a structured RMA process so turnaround stays predictable and hardware is never shipped without a reference. Our technical team attempts remote diagnosis first, which resolves a meaningful share of reported faults without any shipment at all.
- Email sales@zyrixminer.com with order reference, model, serial number, and fault description
- Attach miner logs, kernel log screenshots, and the pool hashrate history where available
- We run remote diagnostics and confirm whether the fault is covered, usually within 2 business days
- An RMA number and the nearest repair address are issued; ship the unit or the failed hashboard only
- Repaired or replacement hardware is dispatched after testing, with tracking shared on departure
Turnaround and shipping responsibility
Typical bench turnaround is 5-10 business days after arrival at our facility, subject to component availability for older models. Inside the coverage period the buyer pays freight to the repair point and Zyrix pays return freight. Outside the coverage period, or where diagnosis shows an excluded cause, we quote paid repair through our repair service before doing any work.
Batch claims from farm operators are handled as a scheduled project with a spare-unit rotation so hashrate loss is minimised. Related processes are documented on after-sale services, shipping policy, and returns policy.
Frequently asked
- How long is the warranty on a new ASIC miner?
- New miners carry the manufacturer's standard warranty, typically 180 to 365 days from delivery depending on brand and model. The exact period is stated on your invoice.
- Do used miners come with a warranty?
- Yes. Used and refurbished units carry a shorter Zyrix-backed warranty, normally 30 to 90 days from delivery, covering hashboards and the control board.
- What voids the warranty?
- Water or condensation damage on air-cooled units, damage from unstable grid power, third-party firmware or overclocking beyond factory profiles, physical damage, removed serial labels, and unauthorised board-level repair.
- How do I make a warranty claim?
- Email sales@zyrixminer.com with your order reference, model, serial number, and fault description plus logs. We diagnose remotely, then issue an RMA number and repair address if the fault is covered.
- How long do warranty repairs take?
- Typical bench turnaround is 5 to 10 business days after the unit arrives at our repair facility, depending on parts availability for the model.
- Who pays shipping for a warranty repair?
- Within the coverage period the buyer pays freight to the repair point and Zyrix pays return freight. Outside coverage, we quote paid repair including freight before starting work.
